Yay! Nothing to do! No classes to prepare! No more thinking about troublesome students! I’m on vacation! :)
I slept in late and then I had to hurry to the post office to mail out a package before it closed. I made it just in time! The weather was sort-of sunny for a bit, but then (right after I commented to Margot that it was finally sunny) it started hailing! We had to run outside (barefoot) to catch the hail and eat it. Luckily Catherine didn’t spot us outside in our bare feet! Heehee!
I relaxed all afternoon and then around 5:30pm, I went grocery shopping with Catherine. However, we stopped at a cooking/home decoration store so that she could find a Christmas present for Ralf’s parents. My head cold is getting worse and I started feeling really awful just hanging out in the store, waiting for her to find something. Then we headed over to the huge supermarket to get groceries— and that didn’t really make me feel less sick.
I didn’t do much tonight—we watched a TV show where there are two contestants who choose a genre of music and then they have to sing a song, but the lyrics stop at a certain point and they have to know the words that come next! I remember watching it sometimes with my host father in Angers! The cool part about the program is that they win money for each song they get correct—but the money doesn’t go to the contestants, it goes to a good cause. So, I suppose it’s doing a little bit of good in the world.
I’m still feeling not so great, so I’m really happy that it’s vacation!!
